Deputy Minister of Communications, Vincent Sowah Odotei, has urged emergency service providers to embrace modern technologies to address rapid response problems.

Mr Odotei who was guest at the launch of a new technology tool known as "Rescueme App” on Wednesday, October 4 advised the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC), the Ghana Police Service, National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and other business moguls to employ the app to advance their operations.

The Rescueme App and Asigaame E-commerce portal seek to ensure prompt emergency response and facilitates online trade.

The application has interface for options for ambulance, commercial dispatch, mechanics, police, fire service, car towing and other services.

Speaking to Class Business after the launch of the App by Rescue Info-Solution & Technology Ltd, Mr Odotei emphasized the importance of using modernized ICT tools to solve challenges in the society.
