Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan has been appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo as Ghana’s first-ever ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The president charged the former chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC) to help forge stronger economic and diplomatic ties between the two countries.

While swearing him in, Nana Akufo-Addo urged the father of Second Lady Samira Bawumia to build strong relations with the UAE and the Arab world.

Alhaji Ramadan is also the father of deputy National Coordinator of the National Disaster and Management Organisation (NADMO), Abu Ramadan.
