Asante Kotoko Head Coach, Steve Pollack, has reiterated that he is content with the 1:0 win against Eleven Wonders in their GHALCA G8 opener on Saturday.

Obed Owusu’s penalty in the first half ensured the Porcupine Warriors secured all three points at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Mr Pollack believes the competition offers him the opportunity to assess his team and was content with the overall performance of the team.

“It was a good run out for the players and in the first half they had the better chances but they didn’t put them away but in the second half we kept them at bay and we had a penalty which we dispatched well and we played a bit better with the ball than we did in the first half.

“Overall, I’m satisfied with the way we played, of course, there is an improvement to be made that is why it’s a pre-season game and this way, you know what to improve before the season starts,” he said in an interview on Class Sports.

The MTN FA Cup Champions will face Dreams FC in their second group game on Wednesday, January 10.
