CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has apologised to Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, over a misunderstanding between some officials of Zylofon Media and the 'Baafira' hitmaker.

“I apologise to team @stonebwoyb and all well-wishers for the unfortunate ill incident that occurred. The transport manager exercised a discretion characterised by reflex and over exuberance. An act I vehemently condemn and discourage from our society,” Mr Appiah posted on his twitter page.

It was reported that Bulldog, born Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, an artiste manager at Zylofon Media, attempted to snatch Stonebwoy’s car.

Stonebwoy, who had gone to Champs Bar at Paloma Hotel to support the performance of KelvinBwoy, who was holding his ‘AfroBeats’ tour at the venue on Saturday, March 10, indicated that his younger brother was assaulted by Bulldog and the case has been reported to the Nima police.

Stonebwoy narrated that he was in one of the rooms when he sent his younger brother to get some items from his car “and then we heard bang...and cursing..."

"They hit him on the lips, took my car key, sat in the car to speed it up [and] if not for my bodyguards, my security, they would have driven my car away and that would have been something else and all the fracas around it" he stated.

He further indicated that everyone at the venue saw what had happened and that “one Hanson Nana Asiamah brought people to attack us. As we speak my manager is dealing with the situation”.

He emphasised: “It is my car, I sent him [my brother] to get something for me and they attacked him”.

“So many people are taking the law into their own hands because I think that certain people in authority give them their support and probably because they are acquainted or they are family with some heads or personnel who can probably call a shot, they do whatever they want to do,” he told Joy FM’s Becky.

The relationship between Stonebwoy and Zylofon has become sour after the record label signed Shatta Wale, another dancehall artiste.

Stonebwoy had indicated in an interview on Joy FM that he would not have agreed to be under Zylofon if he knew they would sign another dancehall artiste under the record label.
