Multichoice unveils 2 ROK channels

Multichoice Ghana Limited and ROK, on Thursday, 12 April 2018, launched two new channels, ROK 2 and ROK 3 on DStv and GOtv.

ROK 2 will show Nollywood movies and TV series while ROK 3 will promote local Ghanaian content on the international platform by showing Ghanaian movies and TV series in both English and Twi.

Speaking at the launch at its head office at Abelemkpe in Accra, the General Manager of Multichoice Ghana, Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, was hopeful that ROK 3 will meet the demands of their customers in Ghana.

Nii Amah Dagadu, Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Manager of Multichoice Ghana, encouraged Ghanaian movie producers to submit content to be aired on ROK 3.

He explained that producers will be paid when they sign a contract with Multichoice and their contents are approved and eventually aired on ROK 3.

He further noted that as the channel evolves, there will be room to air other programmes such as documentaries among others apart from the movies and TV series.

ROK 2 is available on DStv Channel 169 to Premium, Compact , Compact and Family customers and also on GOtv Max, Channel 17 (all other countries), Channel 117 in Ghana and Channel 317 in Uganda.

ROK 3 is available on DStv Channel 164 to Premium, Compact , Compact, Family and Access customers, and on GOtv Max and Plus, Channel 18 (all other countries), Channel 118 in Ghana and Channel 318 in Uganda.
