Musician Gregory Bortey Newman, widely known in the showbiz circle as King Promise, has revealed that he plans to build a music school in the country to train musicians and other individuals in the music industry.

Speaking in an interview with Prince Benjamin, Monday, 21 May 2018 on the Class Drive, on Class 91.3 FM, the ‘Selfish’ hitmaker said: “If I become one of the [most successful] artistes in Ghana, I'll like to build a music school in order to train artistes.

“I always had this dream to open a music school. I always want to go to Britain but I still will, if I get the chance, hopefully to build something like that in Ghana so that people can actually go and learn about music, learn how to play instruments, song writing, production and the business part of the music industry and more”.

King Promise further explained that he has the desire to travel and learn best practices in other parts of the world where music business is successful and contributes significantly to the economies of those countries.

“I want to [bring] something back from what I will learn as I travel and work outside the country… so that artistes can learn how to work and take the music business to the next level,” he added.

King Promise, is currently promoting his new single 'CCTV' featuring Mugeez and Sarkodie.
