Former Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South Constituency, Fritz Baffour, has urged the public and public officials to self-examine themselves in the wake of the yet-to-be released documentary of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and the BBC, which focuses on corruption at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and within government.

The former Minister of Information said he believes that “one must use situations such as these for self-examination and introspection”.

GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service for influence peddling.

Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, Anthony Karbo, has also been mentioned in the documentary, according to Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako Jr.

Mr Baffour believes “we must fight against corruption and wrongdoing in society but it should begin with our own selves”.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, 24 May, he emphasised that “the mess is ours to fix and eruptions such as the aforementioned two should only remind us of our own folly”.

Anas’ Number 12 documentary is set to be premiered on 6 June.
