MTN Ghana’s Chief Information Officer Abbad Reda was also adjudged Chief Information Officer of the year.

The awards were in recognition of MTN Ghana’s excellent customer care, innovation and product development and deployment.

Commenting on the awards, the CEO of MTN Ghana Ebenezer Asante said: “It gives us great pleasure to receive these awards. They validate MTN’s focus on providing a distinct customer experience with innovative, relevant services and affirm our leadership in the industry. The areas in which we won the awards are significant ones and confirm that MTN is indeed the network of choice.”

He added, “Winning the Customer Service award for the third consecutive time shows that we are indeed a customer centric company. MTN has taken a lot of steps to enhance our customer experience and our staff have been trained to understand that no matter what their functional responsibility or level is, we all must focus in delighting the customer. The awards given to MTN Business, Mobile Money and our Chief Information Officer all demonstrate the value of the continuous investments we are making in using the best talents who will deliver the best experiences”.

The awards received by MTN are the results of decades of significant investments in network technology and infrastructure, customer relationship management and staff investment. Since 2006, MTN has invested US$2.5 billion in network expansion and enhancement.

The Company is poised to roll out fast, reliable LTE services in all regions in Ghana and will be the first to deploy on-the-go 4G services. MTN Ghana has dedicated the awards to its hardworking staff and its more than 17 million loyal subscriber base, and the people of Ghana with whom the Company is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
