GA/R: Fire guts Circle Las Palmas area
A devastating fire outbreak ravaged the Circle Las Palmas Area in the Greater Accra Region this morning, causing a trail of destruction and chaos in the area.
The fire, which is believed to have started around 10 am engulfing several shops and stalls around.
Eyewitness says the fire service officers stationed at Kwame Nkrumah Circle came around saying that their car is faulty, so they couldn't do anything in terms of quenching the fire.
So the people had to call another fire service station to come and turn it off. He described the scene as "apocalyptic" with flames shooting high into the air as vendors scrambled to savage their goods.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
