From classroom to capital: Bomaa SHS and Serwaa Kesse Girls explore Accra on educational trip

Students from Bormaa and Serwaa Kesse Girls' schools in the Tano North Constituency of the Bono Region, together with their teachers, paid a courtesy visit to the former Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Hajia Samira Bawumia, at her office in Cantonments.
The visit was part of an educational excursion that included tours of key national landmarks such as Parliament House and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.
The initiative, made possible by the Member of Parliament for Tano North, Dr. Gideon Boako, received support from fellow Members of Parliament from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mr Boako was accompanied to the Second Lady's office by Mr Obiri Yeboah, MP for Subin, and Mr. Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah, MP for Ahafo Ano South West, who took turns to commend the decision to visit the former Second Lady, describing it as both thoughtful and inspiring.
At her office, Mrs. Samira Bawumia warmly welcomed the students and hosted them to lunch before engaging them in an interactive session.
In her address, she encouraged the students to take their academic work seriously and aim for excellence.
She particularly urged the girls to stay focused and believe in their potential.
Addressing the boys with a light-hearted tone, the former second lady advised them not to distract the girls in their studies, drawing laughter and applause from the audience.
