Ketu North MP pays a working visit to NYA
The Member of Parliament for Ketu North Constituency in the Volta Region, Mr Eric Edem Agbana, has paid a working visit to the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Mr Osman Abdulai Ayariga, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration on youth development and employment initiatives.
The meeting, held at the NYA headquarters in Accra, focused on aligning national youth programmes with the development needs of young people in the Ketu North Constituency and across the country.
Mr Agbana said the visit formed part of his commitment to engaging key state institutions to ensure that government youth policies translate into tangible opportunities at the constituency level.
He emphasised the need for targeted skills training, entrepreneurship support and job creation programmes to address youth unemployment, particularly in border communities such as Ketu North.
For his part, Mr Ayariga welcomed the MP and reaffirmed the NYA’s commitment to working closely with Members of Parliament to expand youth-focused interventions nationwide.
He outlined ongoing and planned initiatives by the Authority, including skills development programmes, start-up support and youth empowerment projects under the government’s broader development agenda.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of sustained collaboration between Parliament and youth-focused institutions to maximise impact and ensure inclusive development.
The visit is expected to pave the way for future programmes aimed at empowering young people in Ketu North and strengthening youth participation in national development.
