President Mahama revokes appointment of MIIF CEO
President John Dramani Mahama has revoked the appointment of Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng, Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF), effective immediately.
The decision was communicated in an official letter dated January 13, 2025, signed by Dr Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President.
Mr. Koranteng has been directed to hand over his responsibilities to the President’s representative at the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, who has been tasked with overseeing the fund’s operations until a substantive CEO is appointed.
The letter expressed President Mahama’s appreciation for Mr. Koranteng’s contributions during his tenure, acknowledging his service to the nation.
Copies of the correspondence were sent to key government officials, including the Vice President, the Chief of Staff, and Dr. Forson.
