U.S., Ghana explore stronger health collaboration

The meeting, held on August 26, 2025, focused on deepening collaboration in the fight against HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other diseases, while reaffirming the shared commitment of both countries to improving healthcare delivery in Ghana.
Mr. Olson underscored the U.S. government’s continued support for Ghana’s health initiatives, highlighting the long-standing partnership that has contributed to progress in disease control, maternal health, and capacity building.
Minister Akandoh, for his part, welcomed the partnership and emphasised the government’s determination to strengthen healthcare systems, expand access, and ensure sustainable improvements in public health.
