UnityLink donates $11,000 to support Otumfuo’s Heal Komfo Anokye Project

UnityLink Financial Services has donated $11,000 to support the “Heal Komfo Anokye” project, a major health initiative championed by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The donation was officially presented at the Manhyia Palace during the Awukudae festival celebration on Tuesday, May 7.
The Chief Executive Officer of UnityLink Group, Harry Ouedraogo, presented the cheque to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, expressing the company’s commitment to contributing meaningfully to the renovation and modernisation of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
“We are proud to support this noble cause in collaboration with the chiefs and people of Asanteman,” Mr. Ouedraogo said. “UnityLink is pledging not only short-term support, but also looking into long-term collaboration with the palace to see how we can enhance our contribution to the Heal Komfo Anokye initiative.”
He added that the company is encouraging members of the diaspora to rally behind the project, which aims to transform the region’s premier medical facility into a world-class health centre.
Mr. Ouedraogo also extended belated birthday wishes to the Asantehene and expressed appreciation for being granted an audience during the ceremony.
He noted that UnityLink looks forward to a private discussion with the King to further explore ways of deepening their support.
The “Heal Komfo Anokye” project, launched by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, seeks to renovate and upgrade the nearly 70-year-old teaching hospital to provide improved healthcare services to millions across Ghana and West Africa. The entire project is estimated to cost 10 million dollars.
