Bantama MP disassociates himself from allegations made by student nurse in viral video

The Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Francis Asenso-Boakye, has responded to a video circulating on social media of a student nurse complaining about unpaid allowances.
In a press statement issued earlier today, the Member of Parliament said he has never had any such encounter with this individual, nor with any student nurse, regarding allowances.
In the video, the student nurse alleges that during the election period she approached the then Minister for Roads and Highways and was told: “if she won’t vote because her allowance has not been paid, then that is fine”, the statement quoted.
This claim, the Minister has described as false and baseless.
“There is no nursing training institution in my constituency, Bantama.
While Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital has a nursing school, it does not fall under the Bantama Constituency.
I therefore have no direct Constituency dealings with nursing trainees," he said.
The Minister cautioned that this is a deliberate attempt to drag his name into needless political propaganda and urged the public to disregard the accusations.
