Bawumia not truthful – Osofo Kyiri Abosom
The leader of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Christian Kwabena Andrews popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom has described the flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party and Vice-President, Dr Mahamudu as a dishonest person.
The GUM leader is accusing Dr Bawumia of not living up to his words and the impression he gave Ghanaians of being an Economic Guru, because though he promised to ensure the country moves from form taxation to production, that has not been seen under his leadership, as the Ghanaian is burdened with many taxes.
Speaking to Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang on the Class Morning Show, Monday, 29 April 2024, the GUM Leader, asserted that the Vice-President, is “the liar” in the country.
“But he’s a liar, the vice-president, google has already told us, google it and ask, the liar in the country, the moment you type it, vice-president’s name will come first. Google will tell you that it’s the vice-president,” the GUM leader emphasised.
He noted that the current government keeps throwing dust in the eyes of the citizenry.
“They keep on lying to us, yesterday, I was watching a video whereby Kennedy Agyapong was saying that Vice-President is the best Vice-President, in this country but when it came to the platform to become president [flagbearer], he said he is a liar, he has destroyed everything and so all of them, they are in the same category,” he intimated.
According to the GUM leader, the current government does not have the interest of the youth at heart.
“I don’t think these leaders are going to help, they just want to continue to gather for themselves but they don’t think about themselves but they don’t think about the youth of the country.”
He however noted that the GUM party would live by its slogan: “Ghana can do” as the party is prepared to use the resources of our country to ensure development in all spheres.
