CMG's Nana Otu Darko declares candidacy for NDC Deputy National Communication Officer
Renowned Ghanaian broadcast journalist and political commentator of the Class Media Group(CMG), operators of Accra 100.5 FM, Nana Otu Darko, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Deputy National Communication Officer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the party’s upcoming national executive elections.
In a post on Facebook, Nana Otu Darko called on all eligible Ghanaians to join the NDC and participate in the ongoing membership registration exercise, which runs from February to March 30, 2026.
He stressed the importance of obtaining an NDC Membership ID Card, urging supporters: “JOIN THE NDC NOW.
Visit an NDC branch near you and get registered from February to March 30, 2026.
Secure your NDC Membership ID Card immediately.
Act now and become part of the National Democratic Congress!”
Nana Otu Darko, a prominent voice on Accra 100.5 FM, is widely known for his critical commentary on successive governments, particularly the former New Patriotic Party's administration led by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
His decision to enter the NDC’s internal elections has sparked lively debate on social media, with many supporters welcoming his transition into active party politics.
The NDC’s internal reorganisation process is set to begin with membership registration, followed by branch executive elections, constituency primaries in April 2026, regional executive elections in May 2026, and culminating in the national executive elections in June 2026.
