Minority Caucus meets TESCON executives, urges unity ahead of 2028
The Minority Caucus in Parliament has held a strategic meeting with executives of the Tertiary Education Confederacy (TESCON), the tertiary wing of the New Patriotic Party, drawn from various institutions across the country.
The engagement focused on the history, ideological foundation and future direction of the party.
Members of the Caucus took the student leaders through the evolution of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a centre-right political tradition rooted in free enterprise, individual liberty and the rule of law.
Discussions also revisited the party’s core values and long-standing political tradition, with emphasis on leadership, service and responsibility.
The Minority encouraged the TESCON executives to appreciate the legacy they inherit and the role they are expected to play as the next generation of leaders within the party.
The Caucus further urged the student leaders to remain united, disciplined and focused as they work toward strengthening the party’s grassroots base, particularly within tertiary institutions.
The meeting concluded with a call on TESCON members to intensify their efforts and mobilise effectively ahead of the 2028 general elections.
