NDC salutes Muslims on Ramadan fast
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has conveyed heartfelt Ramadan greetings to Muslims in Ghana and around the world as the sacred month begins.
In a statement issued by the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC described Ramadan as a deeply spiritual period marked by fasting, prayer, reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to Allah.
The party underscored the importance of the season, noting that its values resonate beyond religion and contribute meaningfully to national life.
According to the statement, Ramadan promotes virtues such as compassion, humility, generosity, discipline, and peaceful coexistence — principles the NDC believes are vital to strengthening unity and advancing national development.
The party also commended the Muslim community for its significant contributions to Ghana’s democratic progress, social harmony, and economic advancement.
It acknowledged the community’s consistent prayers and efforts toward maintaining peace, stability, and prosperity in the country.
“As you embark on this spiritual journey, we pray that Allah grants you strength, good health, and abundant blessings,” the statement said.
The NDC further called on all Ghanaians to use the holy month as an opportunity to recommit to justice, inclusivity, and the collective task of building a more united and compassionate nation.
Reaffirming its commitment to policies that promote equality, expand opportunities, and improve livelihoods for every citizen, regardless of faith or ethnicity
