NPP to print ballot papers for January 31 primary on Tuesday
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will on Tuesday january 20, begin the printing of ballot papers ahead of its January 31, 2026, presidential primary, as preparations intensify for the internal contest.
Mr William Yamoah, Secretary to the Presidential Election Committee, said the exercise forms part of measures to ensure a smooth, transparent and timely conduct of the primary, which will see delegates elect a presidential candidate for the December 7, 2028, general elections.
According to him, officials of the Electoral Commission, party representatives and aspirants’ agents are expected to supervise the printing process to guarantee accountability and prevent irregularities.
The NPP has assured members that all logistical arrangements, including ballot paper production, distribution of materials and security, are being carefully coordinated to safeguard the integrity of the process.
The January 31 primary is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the party’s fortunes as it prepares for the upcoming general elections.
