'Politics is for people who can endure pain' — Chairman Wontumi
Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has stated that politics is a field reserved for individuals who possess resilience and the ability to withstand challenges and criticism.
Speaking during a public address, Chairman Wontumi remarked that politics is not for the faint-hearted, stressing that political actors must be prepared to endure hardship, attacks, and moments of disappointment in the course of their political journey.
According to him, those who choose to venture into politics must develop a strong character and remain focused on their goals despite the difficulties that come with public service and political competition.
"Politics is for people who can endure pain," he stated, urging party supporters and aspiring politicians not to be discouraged by temporary setbacks or criticism.
