President Mahama assents to 24-Hour Authority Bill to boost productivity and Jobs
President John Dramani Mahama has assented to the 24-Hour Authority Bill, a key piece of legislation aimed at accelerating Ghana’s economic transformation.
Speaking after signing the bill into law, President Mahama described the enactment as a long-awaited measure and a flagship strategy designed to enhance productivity and create employment opportunities across the country.
He acknowledged that the legislative process had taken time but emphasised that this was necessary to ensure the law received proper legal scrutiny and backing.
“Now, our attention must shift from strategy to implementation,” President Mahama said, underscoring the need for effective execution of the new law to deliver tangible benefits to Ghanaians.
The 24-Hour Authority Bill is expected to streamline operations across government agencies and promote efficiency, forming a central pillar of the government’s broader economic development agenda, he concluded.
