Vice President Opoku-Agyemang visits Gender Ministry to strengthen social safety nets

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has paid a working visit to the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection as part of her ongoing engagements with key government institutions.
The visit formed part of a broader initiative to strengthen collaboration between the Office of the Vice President and various Ministries in advancing the national development agenda.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasised the importance of effective inter-ministerial cooperation in ensuring the success of President John Dramani Mahama’s administration and in delivering meaningful progress for the people of Ghana.
She expressed her commitment to supporting the Ministry in its mandate to protect vulnerable groups, promote gender equality, and enhance social welfare programmes.
Officials of the Ministry, led by Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, welcomed the Vice President and briefed her on current initiatives, challenges, and opportunities for deeper policy impact.
Her visit marks the beginning of a series of similar engagements aimed at ensuring that government ministries work in synergy towards shared national goals.
