Ghanaian genius Gwendolyne Brown arrived back home on Tuesday night to much fanfare and traditional choreograph at the Kotoka International Airport from students of the Seven Great Princes Academy, her alma mater before her historic academic achievements at the Southampton University in the United Kingdom.

Ms Brown, 21, became the first Ghanaian woman to score hundred per cent in English literature at the Advanced Subsidiary level in Britain.

She was met on arrival by her mother, Mrs Brown, together with some officials and students of Seven Great Princes Academy.

She is expected to pay a courtesy call on former President Jerry John Rawlings on Thursday before delivering what is expected to be a powerful speech at the opening of the academic week of her alma mater next week Tuesday.

She told reporters upon arrival that she is proud of what she has achieved for Ghana through her alma mater of which she remains proud.

Gwendolyne noted that her alma mater provided the spark for her intellectual discipline from which she has never departed.

According to her, any Ghanaian girl-child could have achieved same with better educational foundation such as the one she got from Seven Great Princes Academy.

She expressed gratitude to the school and its teachers for making her what she is today.
