A drunk driver tried to escape being arrested by telling police that she’s a ‘very clean, thoroughbred, white girl,’ it is claimed. Lauren Elizabeth Cutshaw, 32, is also reported to have insisted she shouldn’t be arrested because she was a cheerleader, dancer and sorority girl who attended a ‘highly accredited university.’ But her entitled excuses cut no ice with an officer at a police station afterwards, and prompted him to ask her ‘What that had to do with anything.’

Cutshaw then reportedly replied: ‘You’re a cop, you should know what that means.’ She is said to have added: ‘You’re a cop, you should know based on the people that come in this room.’ Real estate agent Cutshaw, who is said to have had a blood alcohol level of .18 per cent – more than double the legal limit – kept claiming that ‘my partner is a cop,’ according to a police report. She told officers she had been trying to get to his house when she was pulled over near Bluffton, SC., on Saturday.

The suspected drink driver told cops she’d had two glasses of wine in a restaurant earlier that evening to celebrate her birthday. And Cutshaw is also said to have conceded that she ‘may have’ smoked pot earlier the same evening, after weed and rolling papers were found in her car.

She was later jailed on charges including drunk driving, speeding and marijuana possession – partly because of her own incriminating statements. Concluding his report, the arresting officer wrote: ‘Making statements such as these as a means to justify not being arrested are unusual in my experience as a law enforcement officer and I believe further demonstrates the suspect’s level of intoxication
