The Black Stars of Ghana will on Friday, 12 October 2018 play a friendly match with Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The match was confirmed by the Normalisation Committee through a press release signed by Public Relations Officer, Dan Kwaku Yeboah.

Ghana have been preparing to host Sierra Leone on Thursday, 11 October in a 2019 AFCON qualifier but will now have to turn their attention to the Kotoko game after the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) disclosed that the Ghana-Sierra Leone game had been canceled.

The national team players called up for that game have decided to play the match against the Porcupine Warriors free of charge to show their patriotism and love for the country as well as the fans who have been waiting to see them in action, according to the statement.

The match starts at 4:00 pm.
