The Eastern regional police command has mounted a search for a 20-year-old junior high school student who has gone missing in a town called Akim Anamase.

Georgina Ama Amenyo has been missing since she left home on 12 January 2019.

She allegedly sneaked out.

Her cover cloth and a pair of shoes belonging were found in her 19-year-old boyfriend’s room.

The lover, Joseph Prah was the last person to see her.

He was arrested and later granted bail.

Over the past few weeks, there have been several reports of kidnappings of girls in parts of the country, especially Takoradi in the Western Region where three girls have been missing since August last year.
