President of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), Kwabena Yeboah, has advised Kumasi Asante Kotoko against complacency ahead of their fifth CAF Confederations Cup group stage match against Sudanese side, Al-Hilal Omdurman at the Kumasi sports stadium on Sunday, 10 March 2019.

The Porcupine Warriors are yet to taste defeat in their home game this season in the continental showpiece.

“I have absolutely no reason to think they [Kotoko] cannot do it. The Baba Yara sports stadium is a fortress for Asante Kotoko. I don’t remember counting too many home games where they’ve lost.

“They have proven that they have what it takes to win matches on home soil. I’m just praying that they don’t get complacent. They have no reason to even get complacent because they haven’t even qualified,” Mr Yeboah told Class Sports’ Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang in an exclusive interview.

The ace sports journalist and football commentator, however, did not rule out a possible result for the visitors on Sunday.

“Al-Hilal, having picked a point in Zambia means that they can get results on the way. And, this is a side that has been playing in Africa consistently, either in the CAF Champions League or the CAF Confederations level. They also have the financial wherewithal; It’s a solid team. They have the resources to bring coaches of repute from across the African continent just as they have the financial muscle to bring players from across the African continent,” he said.
