Second Lady Mrs Samira Bawumia, on Tuesday, 12 March 2019 joined the Ahomka Foundation to donate mobility carts to the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to support physically-challenged persons struggling with mobility at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.

The donation is to enable physically-challenged persons to fully integrate into society.

A total of 186 mobility carts are expected to be distributed across the country.

According to the wife of Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who shared pictures of the donation on her Facebook page, the gesture is aimed at building an inclusive and equitable society by ensuring that the rights of people of all ages and abilities are safeguarded.
