Lupita Nyong’o has never been one to shy away from displaying her natural locs. She’s known for pushing the limit when it comes to her hair and makeup choices.

A stunner while walking the red carpet at events, the Oscar-winning actress, along with her hairstylist, Vernon Francois, and makeup artist Nick Barose, isn’t afraid to experiment with bold styles. The 36-year-old actress has sported goddess braids with gold ribbon woven into her hair, silver hair clips to create a dome, and even a half-shaved, half-bob hairstyle.

“I don’t feel defined by my hair, and I think that’s why I like to play with it,” Lupita said in an interview with Porter magazine.

And when it comes to makeup, she's tried everything from tribal-inspired eyeshadow to having the perfect pout in black lipstick.

Most recently, Lupita’s been on a press tour gearing up for the premiere of Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated horror film Us, where she stars alongside fellow Black Panther actor Winston Duke.

The “Wakanda” actress is pulling out all of the stops sporting scary, chic makeup, including red, painted eyebrows and vampire-inspired contact lenses. Talk about method acting!
