The Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, has admonished Human Resource (HR) practitioners to equip themselves with modern tools to remain relevant in the sector.

According to him, the fast-emerging trends of technology compels professionals to acquaint themselves with modern trends to gain competitive advantage and meet international standards.

Mr Awuah made this known at the launch of the Human Resource Service Providers Association of Ghana, (GHRASP) in Accra.

Meanwhile, President of GHRAS, Dr Ellen Hagan, says the association will ensure compliance with professional ethics to improve good corporate governance.

According to her, strict adherence of HR service providers to the law will ensure a high level of service integrity and discipline.

Dr Hagan said they are pushing for the passage of an HR Bill to ensure practitioners are certified to meet international standards.
