Ghanaian musician, Peter Fameye, known in showbiz as Fameye, has pleaded with Charterhouse, organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) to allow him to perform a song at this year’s event.

“They can call me because currently, my song is doing good, so, they can call me, at least, to perform a song so that the rest of Ghanaians will get to know that Fameye is doing great, just a song. I am pleading with the heads of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA),” the GM Music signee told Nana Kwesi Asare on The Big Show on Class 91.3FM on Saturday, 23 March 2019.

The ‘Nothing I Get’ hitmaker said he did not get any nomination but will not complain.

“Everyone deserves to be there because when the list came out, my fans were asking: why am I not nominated? That person, his fans are also happy for him. They felt like they have worked, so, his works should be there. Fameye not being nominated is not a problem because I know people who are bigger than me and supposed to be there but they were not nominated and they are not complaining, so, who am I to complain,” he said.

He added: “I just need to work harder to break boundaries. Maybe, I won’t be the Unsung Artiste of The Year but New Artiste of The Year or Popular Song of The Year and I think I am on my way.”
