The Accra regional police command has arrested two suspects for robbing a mobile money vendor around Taifa-Burkina, a suburb of the national capital, Accra.

The robbery happened around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, 27 March 2019.

The pistol-wielding robbers made their getaway on a motorbike after the heist.

The victim, however, gave them a hot chase in a car and managed to knock them down.

One of the suspects, who fell off the bike, tried escaping amidst gunshots, but the police, who happen to have been at the crime scene, arrested the two robbers with the help of the residents.

The robbers got seriously injured in the heist.

The police have retrieved the loot from them.
