British High Commissioner to Ghana, Iain Walker, has handed over Information Technology equipment to the Ghana Prisons Service (GPS).

The donation is part of a capacity-building project Britain and Ghana have undertaken to enhance the work of the GPS through training, resourcing and infrastructure development.

It also forms part of plans to digitise the Prisons Service and enhance effective data management.

The capacity-building project also includes an “electronic case management system”, which will support easy access to data for judicial, administration and research purposes.
