Ghanaian highlife artiste, Patapaa, has said he never promised to marry Gabriella (Queen Pizzy), the lady believed to be his girlfriend.

Last week, Queen Pizzy said she will no longer put on Patapaa’s promise ring.

She told Nana Romeo on the Ayekoo Ayekoo show on Accra100.5FM on Wednesday, 27 March 2019 that her decision to end her relationship with Patapaa stemmed from a recent video circulating on social media portraying Patapaa having an affair with other women.

The ‘One Corner’ hit singer had said he had found a white woman who has fallen in love with him while embarking on a musical tour in Europe.

In the video, which he shared on social media, he and his newly-found woman were seen having a good time in the kitchen.

“I no longer care about this issue because I am not interested in the relationship anymore,” Gabriella said.

She added: “I have even removed the promise ring on my finger, I am waiting for him to return to tell him my decision. My family supports my decision.”

Reacting to this news on the same show on Friday, 5 April 2019, Patapaa said: “I haven’t given her any ring. I think, maybe, she bought the ring somewhere in Kaneshie and she is wearing it.”

He continued: “Gabby was introduced to me by a friend, who is a model, that I should help her to be famous.

“She told me Abeiku Santana was her Godfather, but I was a bit sceptical because, in this industry, your colleagues who want your downfall can plant people like this around you to bring you down.

“Nonetheless, I decided to help her achieve her goals. So, the next day I took her to a studio for a photo-shoot, and we took many pictures together. I then told her that it was left with one picture, so, we went back for a kissing picture that set the internet on fire and she started trending the next day that she was dating me. The kissing picture was just for the cameras because she wanted to be popular, she wanted to ride on the back of my popularity, that was all. I never promised to marry her.”
