Ghana’s Minister of Communication, Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has cautioned the youth to watch what they post on social media since it has the tendency of haunting them in the future.

The Ablekuma West MP said social media posts can cost people big opportunities.

In a Facebook post, Mrs Owusu-Ekuful counselled: “We should be mindful of the dangers of social media and the sort of items or pictures we share of ourselves online.”

She continued that: “Young people must be aware of the long-term adverse implications of posting nude pictures of themselves, etc., on the internet.”

The lawmaker further said people should blame themselves if they get haunted by their social media activities.
