A former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) in the erstwhile Mahama-led administration, Mr Alex Mould, has said he is ready to offer his ideas to support the Akufo-Addo administration if the current government invites the NDC to share their ideas and views on the challenges confronting the energy sector.

According to him, the time has come for all experts, irrespective of political party affiliation, to sit around the table with the government of the day to discuss how to solve some of the challenges facing the country.

Mr Mould told Kwabena Prah Jnr (The Don) on Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5FM on Wednesday, 10 April 2019 that: "Why not? If the president calls us for a meeting, why won’t I show up?"

"You have to have your best brains advising you, irrespective of what party they belong to.

"Leadership is about identifying where problems can be, leadership is not identifying where problems are.

"You have to be able to forecast what challenges you will have. Maybe they [challenges] won’t take place but if this should happen this is what we will do.

"Do we have the contingency plans to manage the risks? We are in a risk management business, we manage risks every day".
