Host of Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra, Dr. Cann, has revealed that hiplife artiste, Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng, known as Kontihene, nearly smashed his head with a bottle of beer.

He told Bismarck Boache (DJ Premier) on Entertainment Capital on Accra100.5FM on Saturday, 13 April 2019 that there was a time he was the head of ‘98 Newspaper’ but he quit following a fake story written by his editor about Kontihene.

He narrated that: “Kontihene’s issue came in the newspaper, and I didn’t approve of it, but till date Kontihene still has issues with me because of that thing. Kontihene met me at East Legon Kikibees, he picked up a bottle of beer that he will smash my head to kill me.”

According to Dr. Cann, the editor of the paper at the time did not inform him or any of his other colleagues about the “fake story” before publishing it, thus, exposing him (Dr. Cann) to opprobrium from Kontihene, since he was the boss of the newspaper at the time.

“The editor is in charge of the stories and I am in the industry, so, at least, he should have made me aware of it, and that is why I resigned from the job”, Dr. Cann said.
