The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has said his wish is for the greatness of Asanteman to permeate every nook and cranny of Ghana.

For that to happen, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II said Ghanaians must dream big and act with courage.

Speaking at a state banquet in Accra organised by the government in his honour as he marks 20 years on the golden stool, the Asantehene said Asanteman and Ghanaians are ready to walk with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to achieve his vision of a Ghana beyond aid.

“Asante has always been and will always be great. We are a proud part of a nation state that has everything it takes for greatness. We want that greatness to permeate every nook and cranny of Ghana, to touch the lives of every son and daughter of Ghana,” said Otumfuo.

He continued: “For that to happen, we must dream big and act with courage. Opemsuo Osei Tutu’s spiritual guide, Okomfo Anokye dreamt big and acted with courage to create the kingdom we still celebrate four centuries later. It is our turn Mr President, our time to be inspired by their dreams and their heroic feat to also dream big and act with courage to spark the torch for the resurrection of the great Ghana envisioned by our founding fathers and your vision of Ghana beyond aid.

“Ghana looks to Your Excellency for your leadership, we are as always ready partners in this journey of nation-building. As you walked with us on our journey 20 years ago, so will we walk with you along the journey to the new Ghana of your vision. The more we are together, the greater we will be”.
