Some angry youth at Dawhenya in the Greater Accra region are demonstrating over their bad roads.

The protesters are burning car tyres on the roads as blockades.

The irate youth pelted officials of the Ghana National Fire Service with stones, injuring six of them as the firefighters attempted to douse the bonfires.

Class News' Ibrahim Obeng-Mensah reports that the demonstrators number about 700.

The Dawhenya roads are in a poor state despite several promises by the authorities and subsequent governments to fix them.
