The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Regular Career Course (RCC) in-take 34, Short Service Commission and Special Duties 33, has constructed a mechanised borehole for the Dzorwulu Special School and donated an assortment of items to the Children's Ward of the 37 Military Hospital and the Ghana Military Academy at the cost of GHS 102,000.

According to the Director of Corporate Affairs at the Defence Industries Department of the General Headquarters, Col. Franklin Worlanyo Agbebo, the gesture comprises refurbished washrooms of the Dzorwulu Special School, a borehole connected to dormitories to improve water supply and a designated place for cleansing before Muslim prayers.

The group also presented asthma treatment machines to the 37 Military Hospital, as well as a refrigerator and some assorted items to the Ghana Military Academy.

Speaking to Class91.3FM’s Jerry Akornor after the inauguration of the borehole, Col. Worlanyo Agbebo said the gesture forms part of the RCC's activities marking their Silver Jubilee celebration this year.

"At the Dzorwulu Special School, we presented them with a mechanised borehole connected to their dormitories. At 37, we gave them machines for asthma treatment and assorted detergents. Coming to the GMA, we have presented a refrigerator and other items. This is a token from the RCC 34, Short Service Commission and Special Duties and in all, this project costs us GHS 102,000", he said.

Meanwhile, the Commandant of the Ghana Military Academy, Major-General Omane Agyekum said the projectors will enhance presentations to groom personnel of the GAF.
