ARDA to showcase achievements in petroleum downstream sector in April
The President of the African Refiners & Distributors Association (ARDA), Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid chaired the organization's highly anticipated Executive Committee Meeting in Geneva.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of ARDA, focused on a series of key agenda items aimed at driving growth, expansion, and development within the Association and the petroleum downstream sector across Africa.
Key topics of discussion included constitutional amendments, which are being proposed to strengthen ARDA's foundation and ensure its continued relevance in the dynamic energy landscape.
The meeting also addressed ARDA's 2024 Annual Report and Financial Statements, providing an opportunity to assess the association’s progress over the past year.
As part of the forward-looking discussions, ARDA’s Strategic Plan for 2026-2030 was presented, outlining the roadmap for the organization’s future. This long-term vision aims to further consolidate ARDA's position as a pivotal player in the petroleum refining and distribution industries across the African continent.
The committee also reviewed the upcoming 2025 Annual Plan, which sets the course for ARDA's key activities in the year ahead.
Included in this is the much-anticipated ARDA Week Celebration, which will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, from April 7-11, 2025.
This event will showcase the Association’s achievements and provide a platform for networking and collaboration among industry leaders.
The meeting concluded with a strong call for unity and collective action to shape the future of ARDA, reinforcing its commitment to elevating Africa’s petroleum downstream sector and driving economic development across the continent.
With an unwavering focus on progress, the Executive Committee expressed confidence in the positive impact that ARDA will continue to make in the years to come
