COVID-19: Comply with lockdown – GUTA to members
The Ghana Union of Traders Associations is urging all its members and the trading public to comply with the directives given by President Nana Akufo-Addo regarding the partial lockdown of the Great Accra Region and Greater Kumasi.
“Every single life is precious and inasmuch as we want to continue living our normal lives while trading, we should take into consideration the serious health implications if we continue to do things as usual.
“The clarion call, therefore, is to stay home”, it said in a statement.
According to GUTA, it recognises the very contagious nature of the COVID-19 pandemic and, therefore, understands the decisions taken by the Executive arm of the government in curbing the continuous spread of the virus in Ghana.
“We should all continue to practise the precautionary measures the health service has put out”, it added.
GUTA also commended all health workers at the frontline at express faith in God’s intervention.
