Don't drink expired Charmé sparkling non-alcoholic wine – FDA warns public

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has cautioned the general public against consuming Charmé sparkling non-alcoholic red and white grape juice products.
The FDA sent the caution in a public notice on Friday, 26 November 2021.
According to the FDA, it “cannot guarantee their quality and safety.”
The Authority noted that the expired product has been on the market and is being sold to the unsuspecting public.
The distributor of the product has been picked up by the police to assist with investigations.
About 170 cartons of expired Charmé non-alcoholic sparkling white grape juice with Best Before Date August 6, 2021, and Charmé non-alcoholic sparkling red grape juice with Best Before Date October 25, 2021, have so far been retrieved from the market, the FDA said.
The FDA noted that it “will retrieve any of these products found during its market surveillance activities.”
It also urged persons in possession of these products to “return them immediately to any FDA office across the country.”
