Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has called on staff of the Legon Tax Service Centre to adopt a more proactive and assertive approach to tax collection as the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) intensifies efforts to boost national revenue.

During an engagement with the team, Dr. Forson encouraged officers to take full ownership of their revenue targets and to be deliberate in expanding the country’s tax net.

He emphasised that Ghana’s development agenda hinges heavily on effective domestic revenue mobilisation.

“Ghana needs the revenue, and the work you do is critical to funding public services and driving national development,” he said.

The Minister noted that with focus, discipline, and commitment, the Tax Service Centre can help mobilise the resources required to support growth, deliver essential services, and secure a stronger future for the country.

The visit forms part of the Finance Ministry’s broader strategy to enhance collaboration with tax offices and strengthen performance across the GRA.
