Ghana Post Company Limited has entered into a partnership with the National Lottery Authority (NLA) aimed at generating additional revenue and revitalizing dormant post offices across the country.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two entities, 52 Ghana Post offices will serve as Point of Sale Terminals (POS) for NLA's newly launched afternoon game called 'Noon Rush.'

These 52 Ghana Post offices will initially act as marketing points for promoting the 'Noon Rush' game.

The signing of the MOU took place at the premises of Ghana Post in the Greater Accra Region.

Mr. Bice Osei Kufour, the Managing Director (MD) of Ghana Post Company Limited, emphasized that Ghana Post operates throughout the entire country, making it a universal service provider.

The partnership with NLA allows Ghana Post to extend various services directly to customers' doorsteps.

He highlighted the significance of this collaboration and expressed his appreciation for the NLA's management and board for making it a reality.

Out of the approximately 320 offices operated by the company nationwide, 52 will initially be utilized to promote the 'Noon Rush' game.

Mr. Sammy Awuku, the Director-General of the NLA, explained that as part of the MOU, Ghana Post would also be permitted to sell its products at these 52 offices.

The game draws for 'Noon Rush' will be conducted in collaboration with Lotto Pay, he announced.

Mr. Awuku noted that the NLA currently conducts three games of chance: VAG at 10:00 am, the new Noon Rush at 12:00 noon, and the daily 07:15 pm draw in the evening.

The MOU is designed to support Ghana Post in maximizing its profits from this collaboration, he added.

He emphasized that NLA holds two-level certificates from the World Lottery Organization (WLO), ensuring that its lottery operations adhere to international standards.

Mr. Awuku also called upon the management of Ghana Post to ensure compliance with age restrictions, preventing individuals under the age of 18 from participating in the games.
