Importers and Exporters Association boss joins Accelerated Export Development Committee

The Executive Secretary of the Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana, Mr. Samson Asaki Awingobit, has officially been appointed to serve on the Accelerated Export Development Committee, a key initiative aimed at boosting Ghana's Non-Traditional export sector.
Mr. Awingobit joined other distinguished members at the committee’s inaugural meeting, which was held at the Jubilee House and chaired by His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama.
In a statement following the meeting, Mr. Awingobit expressed his gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve the nation in this strategic capacity.
“I am honoured and deeply thankful to President Mahama for appointing me to contribute to this national agenda.
It was a pleasure meeting senior government officials and respected industry leaders during our first committee session,” he said.
The Accelerated Export Development Committee is tasked with developing actionable policies and strategies to drive Ghana’s export growth, diversify the economy, and increase foreign exchange earnings.
Mr. Awingobit also extended his appreciation to friends, colleagues, and well-wishers who congratulated him following his appointment
“I am truly grateful to everyone who reached out to celebrate this milestone with me. Your encouragement means a lot,” he added.
