MTN rewards customers with 2GB data
Telco giant MTN will, from Thursday, 23 January 2019 compensate its data customers who suffered internet service disruptions recently due to a cut to a submarine cable.
The 2GB data, which is a goodwill bonus package, will be sent to the data account of the customers and not the website.
In a statement, the CEO of MTN Ghana said: “All data customers on MTN Ghana’s network will receive free 2GB data valid for two days.”
The CEO added: “We appreciate customers for their patience and support during the period of the disruption.”
It noted that MTN Ghana remains committed to its mission to make the lives of customers a whole lot brighter through continuous investments in network and technology infrastructure.
Millions of MTN customers, last week, experienced disruptions in internet service for over two days as the company battled to fix cuts to the West Africa Cable System’s submarine cable which supplies internet to customers.
