NPA pushes to strengthen stakeholder engagement at National LPG Forum
The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) on Thursday, November 27, 2025, hosted its first-ever National LPG Forum at its head office in Accra, bringing together key players across Ghana’s petroleum downstream sector.
The landmark event convened industry experts, civil society representatives, partner agencies, and other stakeholders to deliberate on the state and future of the country’s Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) industry.
In his welcome address, the Chief Executive of the NPA, Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, explained that the forum was instituted to create a unified platform for open and constructive engagement.
He noted that such dialogue is vital for fostering collaboration, addressing sector challenges, and shaping policies that will drive sustainable growth within the LPG space.
Delivering the keynote address, the Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Mr John Abdulai Jinapor, highlighted the importance of continuous stakeholder involvement in achieving Ghana’s broader energy and environmental goals.
He emphasised that effective collaboration among industry players is essential to advancing the country’s energy transition agenda and ensuring accessible, safe, and efficient LPG use nationwide.
The maiden forum marks a significant step by the NPA to deepen stakeholder participation as the nation pushes toward a more sustainable energy future.
