2024 Ghana Music Awards UK: King Ayisoba bemoans 'small' attendance, points out possible reason

King Ayisoba has bemoaned the number of people who attended Ghana Music Awards UK 2024.
The iconic traditional musician known for his energetic singing and playing of the kologo spoke to Oyokodehye Kofi on Accra 100.5 FM.
“There are huge crowds when I go on tour in the West and even in Ghana,” Ayisoba said.
He underlined playing at a funeral where it was easy to miss where the heart of the funeral was because of the mammoth attendance.
“My name helps a lot to draw people from all the four corners of the world,” the singer noted.
“So I was expecting nothing less at the Ghana Music Awards UK but it’s all good. Maybe it was this year’s edition that did not go as planned,” King Ayisoba said.
“The fans were small.
“Perhaps, it’s the economic hardship. The hardship is everywhere.”
